Stones and sand

Along the curvatures of the earth
There is a universe
Of love
While ships pass by coastlines
Remembering the loneliness of sailors
Having left their ports
To find never again
Back home despite favorable winds
For as the myth of Homer suggests
Only those return whose wives remain faithful
Through years of waiting all alone
While surrounded by friars and fearful wishes
The man they love will not return
To challenge them to love again and again
Till midnight passes and then there is no escape
For the wild goose
To fly away
From North to South.
