The KID’S GUERNICA workshop was held at Macau Xin Hua Primary School where 15 students gathered and collaborated to achieve it from 13^th to 31^st July 2007. The project was started by Mr. Lie Jun Sin, art teacher of above mentioned primary school.

　It was also sponsored by Macau Education Department , Direccao Dos Servicos De Educacao E Juventude Education And Youth Affairs Bureau .

　The work was based on the following concept - "compromise of different religions, racial harmony and heartiness ".

　Mr. Lie explained the idea of this project to the students (1) the origin stories of Kid’s Guernica Workshop (2) the major theme of the mural (3) the presentation of world peace concept of Macau students. After discussing among them about the ideas, students made their sketches on small papers and finally grouped together and composed their individual images to become the basic design of peace mural.

 
　The main messages of the mural were expressed in Chinese and Portuguese symbols and images such as dragons boat festival, lions dancing, the goddess Matsu, Cathedral of Saint Paul in Macau and as well as various religion icons of Macau such as the golden goddess Kwan In and catholic priest .The mural conveyed the children's wishes for global peace, harmony and forever happiness.
